About Me
Jan Tatham Dip Cllg MBACP
I hold a Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and an Advanced Certificate in Counselling,additionally I have a degree in Law and various teaching qualifications.
I have extensive experience in supporting people gained over 25 years in employment roles focused on individuals, children and families. Much of this time was spent working with charities and local government. I have also been involved in teaching environments working with both adults and children for over 20 years. I am currently a Lecturer and Programme Coordinator for a University of Bristol Foundation Degree in Counselling.
I have supported parents and families of children with special needs and disabilities having been a Special Educational Needs Coordinator in schools. I also have experience in supporting adults with a range of health issues including disability and chronic long-term conditions.
My background in caring and supportive roles has enabled me to successfully support clients with a broad range of concerns.
I also have experience of running my own business and appreciate the pressure of business and workplace stress.
I am a member of various professional development groups which helps to keep my practice knowledge base current and informed and I engage in regular continuous

I have enhanced CRB disclosure and my work with clients is fully insured and supervised. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy ( BACP ) and subscribe to their ethical framework for good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
